TCL is a huge name in the TV space but one place you don’t really see it is in the gaming monitor segment. That is changing as of today, because TCL has just launched two new gaming monitors that are packed with high-performance specifications.
Both monitors offer high refresh rate options, but how high these go depends on the player, because the monitors also come with a Dual Mode option that lets the player swap between different resolutions. TCL is also offering its new monitors in two different sizes: The 32X3B is a 32-inch monitor with an OLED+ panel and a top refresh rate of 480Hz, and the 27X3B is a 27-inch monitor with the same panel type and a top refresh rate of 280Hz.
For the former, users need to opt for the Full HD resolution if they want that lightning-fast refresh rate. But it’s also possible to hit up to 240Hz at 4K. The monitors also boast a very high peak brightness of up to 1,500 nits, as well as nearly borderless displays for maximum on-screen visuals.
TCL has not confirmed a US launch of its new gaming monitors
At the moment, TCL has yet to launch these new monitors outside of China. However, Chinese prices showcase that like its TVs, TCL’s gaming monitors aren’t very expensive. The 27X3B retails for 3,699 Yuan which is under $550 and the 32X3B retails for 6,499 Yuan which is under $960.
Comparable Dual Mode gaming monitors with OLED panels and high refresh rate and resolution options aren’t nearly as affordable. Setting its monitors at these prices gives TCL a price advantage over competitors. While TCL hasn’t confirmed a US launch for these monitors, it’s also not clear if these will launch outside of China at all. Though, many of TCL’s other products are generally global.
