Samsung’s marketing campaign with SpiderMan continues. Today, Samsung Mobile posted a new teaser for both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the new SpiderMan: Brand New Day movie, today.
The image shows Spidey shooting his web out towards what looks like a Galaxy Z Fold 8. The image doesn’t show a lot of the phone, but it does look like it has two cameras on the back; the buttons are also pushed closer to the top, leaving the Galaxy Z Flip 8 as a possible option here.
Remember, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the wider model, and it’s also shorter. Which is why the buttons are pushed much closer to the top of the phone. So this is the first official glimpse of this new form factor from Samsung.
Part of Samsung’s marketing push this year involves SpiderMan. Samsung has already announced the Spidey Tracker with Sony, and also upgraded Peter Parker to the Galaxy Z Flip, from an old Sony Xperia phone in recent movies. Samsung is looking to use the hype of SpiderMan: Brand New Day to help sell its upcoming foldables that it’ll announce on July 22nd, just a week before Spidey hits theaters again.

The Android Headlines Take
This is a more playful way to market your products, versus just releasing specs ahead of the announcement like a lot of other companies do. Instead, Samsung is hitting the mainstream, instead of just the tech nerds, with this route. And when people see the movie, they might wonder what that phone is that Peter Parker has (Ned also got an upgrade), and possibly look into buying the phone.
Samsung doesn’t typically “leak” their phones like this. So this is quite surprising from Samsung. They have basically confirmed the phone through some clever marketing. It’s a great way to change things up, if we’re being perfectly honest.
