Samsung’s ultra-affordable smartphone segment is ready to welcome its newest member, the Galaxy A08. The handset has made an appearance on multiple online certification platforms recently, and there was evidence showing that Samsung started actively testing regional OTA firmware for the device a couple of months ago. All of this suggests the launch is pretty close. But before that, a new leak gives us our first look at the Samsung Galaxy A08 design.
Samsung Galaxy A08 alleged render reveals its design before launch
The Cipher Project has shared an alleged image of the Galaxy A08, revealing both the front and rear designs. No surprises here, as the design almost looks identical to its predecessor, the Galaxy A07. It still has a waterdrop-style (or a U-shaped) notch to accommodate the selfie camera, and the display itself is covered with thick black bezels. The design is in-line with what many expect from an entry-level phone from Samsung.
Moving to the rear, you see two cameras arranged in an oval-shaped module, with the LED flash module housed outside it. The back plate appears to have a glossy finish, with the Samsung logo towards the bottom. The image shows the Galaxy A08 in green, but there will be other options at launch, of course.
Battery gains
Design aside, the leak doesn’t reveal whether the phone shown is the 4G or 5G variant. Regardless, both variants may share the same design. Previous leaks revealed the Samsung Galaxy A08 4G will debut in October, while the 5G model will arrive a little late in February 2027. The Galaxy A08 could feature a 6,000mAh battery, a jump from the 5,000mAh unit in the predecessor. The company may also offer longer software support.
Considering the launch is just a month away, we may come across more details about the phone. This should reveal what’s on offer. So stay tuned for that.
