Samsung recently started rolling out the latest One UI Tizen update (aka Tizen 9) for 2023 TVs and newer models. The latest update gives your old Samsung smart TV a fresh look that mimics the software feel of Galaxy smartphone. Samsung has redesigned everything from fonts to icons in order to give you that One UI feel. All that said, the custom art gallery has to be by far the coolest feature that the One UI Tizen update has brought to mainstream Samsung smart TVs.
You can turn your Samsung TV into custom art gallery following One UI Tizen update
If you own Samsung’s Neo QLED and OLED TVs, you can now set up a custom art gallery without relying on paid content following the latest One UI Tizen update. Samsung is allowing users to pull images directly from their smartphone with the help of the SmartThings app. If you want to turn your TV into a custom art gallery, there are a few things you need to consider.
You need to make sure that your Samsung TV and your smartphone are on the same Wi-Fi network. That’s not all; you should have both of them updated to the latest version. Once you sort these things, you are ready to make your smart TV a custom art gallery. First, simply open the SmartThings app and head to Devices > Your TV. Then, go to the Art section. From there, select “My Photos,” and tap “+” icon, and you’ll have the option to upload images directly from your phone’s gallery.
Interestingly, Samsung also allows cropping the image and applying a mat-style frame. You can even tweak the frame color to better match your setup. When you are all set, simply apply the changes. Finally, you’ll see your custom art gallery on your Samsung TV screen.

The process might throw a few errors, but it fixes itself on its own
SamMobile, which first reported the story, suggests that you may come across a connection error (013303) after updating a TV, preventing you from setting up the custom gallery. However, the good news is that the issue resolves on its own in a few minutes.
