Samsung has started rolling out stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series. The One UI 9 beta program kicked off back in May, and seven betas arrived before the company decided to push out the stable build.
Android 17-based (stable) One UI 9 is now rolling out to the Galaxy S26 series
This update is now rolling out in Korea, Samsung’s homeland, but it will quickly spread to other markets. It is based on Android 17, and it’s coming to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The update comes with build numbers S948NKSU4BZI6, S948NOKR4BZI6, and S948NKSU4BZHO for the three different Galaxy S26 smartphones. It weighs 650MB, in case you’re wondering. Samsung also officially confirmed that the rollout has started.
Do note that it’s rolling out in stages, so even when it arrives in your region, you may have to wait a bit before you receive it. Samsung is usually quite fast with those rollouts, so you won’t have to wait for long.
Samsung polished out the experience with One UI 9, while the company also brought some new functionality/features to the table as well. Many of those improvements we’ve seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will find their way to the Galaxy S26 series as well.
Some new features are coming as part of it
We still don’t have access to the stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series, but you can expect Now Nudge to be a part of it. This is an AI feature that monitors your on-screen activity to provide contextual action cards at specific moments.
Quick Panel has also been updated, as the company now allows you to heavily customize it. It also looks a bit different than before. Even deeper Gemini AI integration is a part of One UI 9. My FanCam is also a part of the update, and much more. There’s plenty to look forward to with One UI 9.
