So it’s not surprising that the company makes a lot of money. But how much money? To put it into context, Apple earns the average US salary every 15 seconds.

This number comes from Insuranceopedia, which found that in the financial year of 2025, Apple takes 14.9 seconds to earn the average US salary, which is currently estimated to be around $53,000 per year. In fact, out of the major tech companies, Apple earned that amount the second fastest.
The fastest company to earn the average US salary goes to Alphabet, which takes them 12.6 seconds. In third place is Microsoft with 16.4 seconds, NVIDIA in fourth at 18.8 seconds, Meta in fifth at 22.3 seconds, and Amazon in sixth place with 26.5 seconds. Amazon’s rate is actually surprising.
The company is essentially an online retail platform that a lot of people rely on for shopping. They also have AWS, which powers the majority of the internet, and let’s not forget its popular Kindle e-reader and ebooks. But either way, 26.5 seconds to earn the average salary is still pretty incredible.
This doesn’t come as a surprise
Apple being able to hit those figures hardly comes as a surprise. Yes, as we stated earlier, the company ships and sells a ton of extremely popular hardware. However, if you take a look at its financials, Apple is steadily earning more from services.
This includes subscriptions to its own services, like iCloud, Apple One, Apple Music, and so on. Apple also takes a cut from sales of apps, in-app purchases, and also subscriptions. This is why the company is so eager to lock users into its ecosystem. This ensures that even if you don’t upgrade your device for the next 2-3 years, as long as you keep buying apps, making in-app purchases, and subscribing, they’re still earning.
