Rumors of REDMAGIC’s new gaming tablet, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, started surfacing earlier this year, and while the company hasn’t launched it yet it has now officially revealed the design. It has also reportedly shared some of the specs details about it so there’s an idea of what kind of performance gamers can expect from this tablet once it drops.
The REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This puts it in line with all the other flagship devices that offer great gaming and overall performance, as that’s what many of the current top devices this year are using. additionally it’s said to have an 8,300mAh battery inside. This should be plenty to keep it going even during those longer gaming sessions. When it comes to the display, it’s 9 inches in size and it’s an OLED panel, so your games and any media you watch will look great on it. Although past rumors were close, the refresh rate isn’t 200Hz, but 185Hz. Although that’s pretty close.
The overall design of the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro hasn’t changed
This may or may not comes as much of a surprise, but the design of the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro hasn’t really changed a whole lot. If you took this new tablet and placed it alongside the REDMAGIC Astra, they would look pretty similar, save for one or two key elements.
The main difference in style is the new tablet’s string of RGB LEDs across the top. The tablet still features the transparent glass panel that’s been used on the last couple of tablets. But that LED string goes across almost the entire glass portion. And it also appears that the ‘REDMAGIC’ name is backlit as well. There’s still the big REDMAGIC icon in the middle, as well as the iconic RED button on the side that is on basically every REDMAGIC device.
This new tablet does feature liquid cooling just like the REDMAGIC 11 Pro and REDMAGIC 11S Pro, but it doesn’t look like you can see the cooling system this time. That is unless we’ve completely misjudged those lights at the top and they aren’t really lights at all, but the see-through liquid cooling part. Either way, REDMAGIC isn’t straying too much from what it knows here when it comes to style. And that’s fine. As for colors, the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will come in black and silver. The company hasn’t announced a price or availability yet. It’s expected to do so with the launch on June 30.
