Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series targets the mid-range segment, delivering a durable build and value-for-money hardware. The lineup usually debuts in China first and gradually expands to certain global regions. Like every year, this time too we’ll be witnessing a new lineup go official. That’s exactly what we’re looking at today. A new Weibo leak reveals the launch timeline of the alleged Redmi Note 17 series phone along with some key specs, including a whopping 9,000mAh battery.
Redmi Note 17 series phone may feature a huge 9,000mAh battery
The source here is tipster Digital Chat Station, who does have a reliable track record when it comes to leaks. While he hasn’t explicitly given out any names, it is believed to be about a Redmi Note 17 series phone. According to him, the upcoming device will feature a large-capacity battery in the 9,000mAh range. It may ship with a 1.5K flat display, dual speakers, and enhanced durability.Â
The phone could come with flagship-level water and drop resistance. As for the processing power, the tipster says the device will feature a power-efficient Snapdragon 6-series chipset. Though he didn’t give out any names, online reports believe it could be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 that went official last month. As a refresher, Redmi at the time confirmed that it would be one of the first to use this new chip.
May launch next month
Digital Chat Station says the Redmi Note 17 series device could launch next month, i.e., July. Meanwhile, the rumored 10,000mAh battery phone in the series, possibly the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, is expected to debut a little later. We’re probably looking at an August or September release for it.Â
That’s everything we have about the Redmi Note 17 series at the moment. But if the launch timeline is indeed in the planning, we’ll probably come across more details in the coming days.
