Samsung is reportedly working on a pair of high-end headphones with an over-ear design intended to take on devices like the Sony WH-1000XM6 and Apple AirPods Max, two of the most popular pairs of noise-cancelling wireless headphones on the market. While Samsung does own several audio brands, many of which have produced high-end headphones recently, Samsung hasn’t had a proper pair of Samsung-branded headphones since the Level On, which were on-ear and not over-ear, and since then Samsung has released only wireless earbuds.
A new report from SamMobile, however, is now claiming that Samsung is ready to re-enter the headphone market. Much like previous leaks of Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Able true wireless earbuds, these new Samsung headphones were found referenced in the Galaxy Wearables app on Android. What’s more, is that icons were present in the app as well, showing the shape of the headphones, and these will likely be the icon seen inside the app for when these are connected to it.

In addition to the icons that were found, the reference to these headphones, which are simply referenced as the Galaxy H1, are said to be high-end, with features like Bluetooth 6.0 and SSC UHQ codec support. They will also reportedly feature Active Noise Cancellation. ANC is the main headlining feature of headphones like the WH-1000XM6 and AirPods Max, so it makes sense for Samsung to offer ANC if these are intended to be a high-end pair of wireless headphones.
There is no mention of confirmed specs or price, or even a confirmed release date. However, SamMobile does say that it expects these to be released sometime in 2027, in which case these are more than 6 months away.
