The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is now up for grabs on T-Mobile, and if you’re a Magenta customer eyeing Samsung’s new wide foldable, here’s the full rundown before you lock in a pre-order.
This isn’t the Fold you’re used to. The direct successor to last year’s phone is actually the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The regular Galaxy Z Fold 8 is a brand new form factor for Samsung, built around a 5.5-inch cover display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, paired with a 7.6-inch inner panel in a 4:3 aspect ratio. That wider inner screen means you’re already in landscape mode the moment you unfold it, instead of rotating the phone like you would with most foldables.
T-Mobile Pricing And Deals For The Galaxy Z Fold 8
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is available from AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Best Buy, Amazon, and more, with pre-orders running through August 6 and general availability starting August 7. Unlocked pricing starts at $1,899 for the base 256GB model, with 512GB and 1TB options also available.
As for compatibility, you don’t need to worry. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 works with basically every US carrier, including the big three, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, along with their MVNOs, so Metro by T-Mobile customers are covered too.
T-Mobile hasn’t published Fold 8-specific promo numbers yet, but the pattern is already clear from its siblings. On the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra T-Mobile deal page, the carrier is knocking up to $1,900 off with a trade-in on Experience Beyond or Go5G Next, and it’s tossing in 25% off the Galaxy Essentials Bundle starting July 30. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 on T-Mobile got similar treatment, with tiered bill credits for trade-ins and new lines. Expect the standard Fold 8 to see comparable offers once T-Mobile rolls out its full promo sheet.
