Image leaks of the new Googlebook hardware lineup have been surfacing for a little while and this includes images of the ASUS Googlebook and some images of the hardware from Lenovo and Acer. A new set of image leaks of the ASUS Googlebook has popped up this week showing a variety of different hardware and design features, such as the glowing light bar on the lid, the fan and heat pipe, and more.
The Googlebook laptops are officially scheduled to go up for pre-order on September 21 according to the Googlebook website, but Google still hasn’t actually revealed the hardware in full, although it has put out some details about the platform’s features during its annual Google I/O conference back in May. Other images have leaked as well.

The image leaks, which come from The Mac Observer, give a bit of a better look at some of the aspects of the upcoming ASUS Googlebook. For example, there’s a closeup of the ports on the right side of the laptop, better indicating that there’s a USB-A port next to a USB-C port for plugging in your peripherals. There’s also a closeup of the keyboard, showing the G key.
One of the more unique images shows a thermal view of the fan and the heat pipe that are on the inside of the laptop, which can give users an idea of where the laptop could get the warmest during extended use. There’s also another view of the glow bar, which has so far shown up on every Googlebook model that’s been leaked. Though it is centered on the ASUS model just like it is for Lenovo’s, whereas the Acer model has it off the side. Google is expected to fully reveal the Googlebook lineup later this month around the pre-order date.
