MSI is really ramping things up for people who like fast gaming monitors, as the company has just announced a new tri-mode gaming monitor that can swap between three different refresh rates, each with their own respective resolution to match. This not only presents an opportunity to have a refresh rate that’s faster than almost any other monitor on the market, if it’s not already the fastest, but it also gives users some variety and more ways to play.
If you like faster refresh rates, then you can opt for the 680Hz refresh rate that comes with Full HD resolution. For some gamers, resolution matters less than the speed and smoothness of the game’s visuals. For others, the former is more important and they prefer to have fidelity that’s more lifelike. Whatever your preferences, MSI’s new monitor aims to tackle it and offer it up.
MSI launches the MPG OLED 322URDX36 monitor, which can swap between 360Hz, 520Hz, and 680Hz
Officially called the MPG OLED 322URDX36, MSI’s latest gaming monitor has a major trick up its sleeve. You can switch it between 360Hz at 4K, 520Hz at 2K, and 680Hz at FHD. Think about that. Even at 4K, the refresh rate is still at 360Hz. That’s incredibly fast and more than enough for most gamers and most games.
In addition, this monitor uses a QD-OLED panel, comes with DisplayPort 2.1 support, NVIDIA G-Sync, and what MSI says is 40% deeper blacks. That should make for some nice contrast. Another neat set of specs is the durability. The panel has a 3H hardness and 2.5x the scratch resistance of the previous model. While it’s still highly recommended that you’re as careful as ever with your monitor, it’s nice to know that there are things place to better protect from scratches, because accidents happen.
MSI hasn’t announced a price for this monitor yet, nor has it announced an official release date.
