Last week, a MacWorld’s report claimed that Apple is experimenting with a special “Dark Cherry” color alongside three other color options for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Now, a prominent Weibo tipster has backed the claim regarding one of the shades shared in that report.
The rumored, special ‘Dark Cherry’ color for the iPhone 18 Pro models features in a fresh leak
Per last week’s claim, Apple is likely to launch the iPhone 18 series in four color options. Well, tipster Instant Digital has corroborated that claim about special “Dark Cherry” color for the iPhone 18 Pro series. Per the tipster, you can expect the special Dark Cherry color to be a mix of burgundy, coffee, and deep purple.
Interestingly, all of the mentioned shades have been previously linked to the iPhone 18 Pro series. Last year, Apple went with Cosmic Orange as the signature color for the iPhone 17 Pro series. However, the recent claims suggest that Apple won’t launch the iPhone 18 Pro series with Cosmic Orange. That’s not all, Deep Blue for iPhone 18 Pro series is also not in Apple’s plans.
Apart from special color, the iPhone 18 Pro series will likely launch in Light Blue, Dark Gray, and Silver. The Light Blue shade will likely mimic the Sierra Blue color exclusive to the iPhone 13 Pro series. Meanwhile, the Dark Gray might be similar to the iPhone 13 Pro’s Graphite color.
The traditional Silver shade is highly likely to continue this year, too
Apple is highly likely to continue with Silver color, as it has been a staple for most iPhone Pro models to date. As usual, none of this is official because we are months away from the launch of the iPhone 18 series. Based on past patterns, we expect Apple to launch the next-gen iPhones in September.
