MINISFORUM is launching its latest NAS storage system on April 23 called the N5 Max, and boasts several important specs for people with high-capacity storage needs. MINISFORUM is well-known for its smaller form factor PCs, but it also makes other tech, such as storage solutions. While these can be thought of large storage drives, a NAS system is really more than that. The MINISFORUM N5 Max is built for high-capacity storage, offering space for up to five SSDs with a capacity support for up to a total of 200TB. MINISFORUM says the N5 Max scales up to this amount, so you don’t necessarily need to fill with 200TB of storage across five drives. You could easily fill up the five drives with smaller amounts if that’s what your needs are. Or you could max it out.
In addition to the 200TB storage limit, the N5 Max also features 64GB of memory for smooth operations. It’s powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor as well. It comes with OpenClaw pre-installed to give users “one-click” access to an AI agent for whatever their needs are.
The MINISFORUM N5 Max NAS has a release date of April 23 and starts at $2,899
While the price isn’t cheap, the MINISFORUM N5 Max is stacked with features that intend to justify that price. Launching officially on April 23, customers will be able to buy the N5 Max directly from MINISFORUM. The N5 Max has an industrial design that gives it a sleek yet durable look, and it features its own built-in power supply with a dedicated fan to help keep things cool.
Speaking of cooling, the N5 Max also comes with CPU cooling and drive cooling to further that agenda of ensuring lower temps over sustained periods of use. There are several ports available for plugging in all of your necessary peripherals as well. There’s a USB-C and USB-A port on the front, and if you flip it around to the back you’ll find two more USB-C ports, two more USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and two LAN ports. Best of all is the security. User accounts and profiles are stored locally, MINISFORUM says, which means you can rest a little easier knowing that your data isn’t being stored in the cloud.
