Google I/O is here! Today at 10AM PT, Sundar Pichai will take the stage at the Shoreline Amphitheater to kick off the company’s annual developer conference in Mountain View, CA. This year, the show is going to be mostly about AI, once again. which is no surprise considering Google is leading the way in this space.
Google already hosted The Android Show last week, which brought a bunch of new features to Android. So we’re not expecting to see much Android-related at Google I/O this week, but there could be some tidbits. Specifically about Android XR. After all, we are expecting to see a handful of Android XR glasses announced this year.
Otherwise, we’ll likely hear more about Gemini Intelligence, as well as some updates to Google’s other AI models. We may even get a release date for Android 17, since we didn’t get one last week at The Android Show, surprisingly.
Google’s two-hour keynote kicks off at 10AM PT
The Google I/O Keynote kicks off at 10AM PT, that’s 1PM ET for those on the East Coast. The opening keynote is typically about two hours long, though Google has been known to run over that time in the past. There is also a more developer-focused keynote later in the day, where Google will dive deeper into the products and announcements from the main keynote.
All of the keynotes and most sessions will be available to watch live on YouTube. So if you aren’t able to attend, you can still watch everything from home.
We will be live from Google I/O in Mountain View once again this year, bringing you all the details as they happen. It’s one of the biggest events of the year, and we can’t wait to see what Google has in store this time around.
