As many of you know, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Wide Fold, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 are coming in July this year. July 22 is rumored as the launch date, and we’ve already heard quite a bit about each of these phones. Well, a new report just surfaced, sharing more information about the first two devices.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 & Wide Fold specs leak
Based on a report by TechManiacs.gr, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature an 8-inch main display and a 6.5-incch cover display. Samsung will once again rely on the best from Qualcomm to fuel the device. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip will be used.
The report also claims that the RAM won’t go beyond 12GB, mainly due to component costs. A 200-megapixel main camera will once again be used, alongside a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. Two selfie cameras will be 10-megapixel snappers.
A battery pack inside the phone could see a notable boost, based on this report. A 5,000mAh unit is mentioned, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 includes a 4,400mAh battery. 45W wired charging is also noted.
A Wide Fold will include a 7.6-inch main display and two rear cameras
What about the Wide Fold aka Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide? The device is said to offer a 7.6-inch inner display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The size of the cover display is not mentioned. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is mentioned here as well.
A 50-megapixel main camera will sit on the back, alongside a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit. Two 10-megapixel selfie cameras will be used as well, one on each of the two displays.
The Wide Fold is said to utilize a 4,800mAh battery and support 45W wired charging. The phone will allegedly weigh 200 grams, so it will be lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
We’ve already shown you both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Wide Fold designs, thanks to CAD-based renders. Do take this spec leak with a grain of salt, even though most of this info was mentioned previously. We’re still not sure we’ll see those battery capacities in these two phones.
