The Call for Me feature on Pixel devices is making its way into the hands of the public, as Google officially announces that the feature is beginning to roll out to users. As of right now, the feature is only available to a very small and select number of users while Google dials things in and gets the experience right, but it will be rolling out to more users later on. Google does not give a timeline for this feature expansion.
Call for Me, a feature which does what it describes, will let Google’s Gemini AI dial a phone call for you at your request. All you have to do is open the Gemini app, ask it to call a business, and it’ll go through all the necessary steps. It’ll call the business, and then do whatever it is you requested it to by calling that business. For example, say you want it to make some reservations at a restaurant.
It will call and let whoever answers the phone at the business know that it’s a personal assistant, then it’ll navigate automated phone menus if there are any, wait on hold if necessary, and go through the conversation with the employee as a reservation is made.

Google says part of starting things small with a rollout to a select number of users allows it to ensure getting things right, because these kinds of things are nuanced as each call can be different. It also wants users to know that they’re in control the entire time, which is why users can see a transcript view of the entire conversation in real-time, and they can take over the call at any point.
This feature is only available on Pixel 11 devices at the moment. Google says that starting today, September 24, Call for Me will be rolling out to Pixel 11 series device owners in an early preview. You will need to be a Gemini paid subscriber and be enrolled in the Phone by Google public beta, as well as live in the US.
