Just last month, a Samsung executive confirmed that its next tablet series, the Galaxy Tab S12, is coming. But the question is, when? While we don’t have any specific date yet, we are definitely inching closer. This is because the Galaxy Tab S12 was recently certified by the Bluetooth SIG.
Galaxy Tab S12 gets its Bluetooth certification
The Galaxy Tab S12 was recently spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website. This is part of the process in which a device typically goes through before it hits the market. The listings also reveal the model numbers, indicating that there will be a Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
This is actually not the first time the tablet was spotted getting its certifications. Back in July, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra cleared BIS certification for its WiFi and 5G variants. Once again, this is part of the process. Samsung hasn’t given us a launch date yet, but with IFA 2026 creeping up on us next month, there’s a good chance the tablets could be shown off then.
What kind of hardware are we looking at?
In terms of specs, the leaks are suggesting that both tablets will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset. The overall design is expected to look like its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S11 series. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra model is also rumored to retain the notch in the display.
Speaking of display, the Galaxy Tab S12+ is rumored to feature a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Ultra model, on the other hand, will pack a much larger 14.6-inch AMOLED display. In terms of battery life, the Plus model will pack a 10,600mAh battery, while the Ultra model will feature a larger 11,600mAh battery.
There’s no word on pricing yet, but if the tablets are unveiled at IFA 2026, we should have more details about the prices and availability then.Â
