Samsung continues the rollout of the One UI 8.5 update to eligible devices. The Galaxy A34 is the company’s latest smartphone to receive One UI update 8.5. Samsung already released the same update to the phone last week. However, at the time, the brand only rolled it out in its home market of South Korea. The update is finally hitting the handset’s global units.
Samsung has released the Galaxy A34’s One UI 8.5 update across the globe
According to user reports and SamMobile, the Galaxy A34’s units in major markets across Europe and Asia have finally received the One UI 8.5 update. In Europe, the update is available in countries like France and Spain. As for Asia, the new firmware is available for Galaxy A34 users in all major markets.
The new update changes the firmware number to A346BXXUFFZE6. The size of the new update is around 2.85GB, so you’ll need a fast internet connection to download it. The update is rolling out over the air gradually. You can also manually check for the upgrade by going to Settings > Software update and hitting Download and install.
The latest firmware update doesn’t come with Android’s June 2026 security patch. Your device will remain on the May 2026 security patch for now. As expected, the new firmware update doesn’t bring any new features. The update is still based on the Android 16 version.
All eligible Samsung devices have received the One UI 8.5 update
It’s worth mentioning that Samsung has now upgraded all eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets to the One UI 8.5 version. The company began the rollout of the new firmware in December by introducing it in the beta program. After releasing the stable update to the Galaxy S26 flagship lineup, the brand started rolling out the new firmware to older eligible devices last month.
In total, Samsung confirmed to release the One UI 8.5 update to 44 devices. A month later, the brand completed the rollout for all these confirmed products. Additionally, the company also released the One UI 8.5 update to 10 more budget Galaxy phones, even though it had not officially confirmed that these phones would receive the new update.
