The compact offering was due for a processor upgrade after the XPS 14 and XPS 16 got theirs. It’s configurable up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 3 processor. Beyond the power, the laptop is also quite slim and light at just 1 kg.
Dell XPS 13 2026 refresh brings a performance boost and durable build
The Dell XPS 13 2026 sports a compact 13.4-inch 2.5K display with a peak brightness of 500 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to a 120 Hz refresh rate with VRR. It rocks a 52 Wh battery with support for 65W fast charging via USB-C. The company claims it offers up to 17 hours of backup on a single charge.
Connectivity options on board include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and also two USB-C ports. On the Core Ultra 7 variant, the USB-C ports are rated for Thunderbolt 4 speeds. It measures just 12.7 mm in thickness and is quite light at just 1 kg, making it the thinnest and lightest XPS laptop ever made. Despite the affordable price, Dell says the XPS 13 2026 features the same strong and durable build as other XPS laptops.
The laptop has a starting price of $599 for students
The Dell XPS 13 2026 laptop is configurable with Intel’s Core 5 320 (Wildcat Lake) and Core Ultra 7 355 (Panther Lake) processors, delivering a peak clock speed of up to 4.7GHz and up to 49 TOPS NPU. The laptop features up to 32GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB (PCIe Gen 4) storage. It also ships with an integrated Intel Graphics GPU. The laptop gets a full-size backlit keyboard and quad speakers. It features dual-fan thermal architecture that helps it stay cool and quiet during extensive use. The Dell laptop also supports Windows Hello.
The Dell XPS 13 with Intel Core Series 3 processors has a starting price of $699. Students aged 16 and above can purchase it at a starting price of $599, competing with the Apple MacBook Neo. The variant with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors in the Storm shade will be available later this summer.
