If you’ve looked into smart lighting for your home, chances are Govee is a brand you’ve come across. Well, at IFA 2026, Govee has taken the wraps off its latest smart lighting solution, the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro. Now, this is not Govee’s first foray into smart outdoor lighting. However, it has made some changes and upgrades that could be worth your time. They have also unveiled the Sky Ceiling Light that mimics natural daylight.
Govee unveils new smart lights at IFA 2026

Starting with the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro, the big change here is what Govee calls the ColorZone Solution. Instead of one strip of color running the length of your roofline, each light head now has an upper zone and a lower zone. You can control both separately.
This means you can choose to run a warm white base with a rotating color effect layered on top. Or blend two shades into a gradient across your eaves.
Govee also included its LuminBlend+ color system for smoother transitions between shades. There’s also the AI Lighting Bot 2.0 which lets you type or say something like “cozy fall porch” and it will set the colors for you. The app also allows users to create matching dual-layer scenes for you instead of you scrolling through presets. There are also eight built-in “Iconic Wonders” effects based on real-world landscapes. A new Y-connector accessory lets one string split into two branches, each running a different effect.
This is one of the bigger reveals out of Govee IFA 2026, and it’s available starting September 7. The 100-foot kit is priced at $499.99, while the 200-foot version costs $799.99.
Natural daylight in your home

Next up we have the Sky Ceiling Light, which Govee first teased at CES 2026. The selling point here is a ceiling fixture that mimics natural daylight and adjusts based on your mood. This might be perfect for winter where daylight is short, or if you live somewhere that doesn’t get a lot of natural sunlight. It runs on the same AI Lighting Bot 2.0 that powers the outdoor lights.
The Sky Ceiling Light lets you describe what you want through text, voice, or even an image, and it builds the lighting scene from there. It’s priced at $399.99 and is available for purchase come September 4.
