Google is beginning to roll out the blood pressure trends and insulin resistance features to the Pixel Watch smartwatches, two features that were announced alongside the Pixel Watch 5. Google officially announced the Pixel Watch 5 back in August, and it later started shipping the watch to buyers on August 20. At the time of launch, the blood pressure trends and the insulin resistance were not available for people to use, but Google did say that they were expected to launch later in the year. That time appears to be now, as the features are reportedly starting to show up on devices via updates.
The Pixel Watch 3, 4, and 5 will get blood pressure trends starting this week
Owners of the last three Pixel Watch models will be getting these new features soon, with the Pixel Watch 5, Pixel Watch 4, and the Pixel Watch 3 all starting to get the blood pressure trends and the insulin resistance this week. These two things will be rolling out to all users who own these devices. It isn’t mentioned what regions are supported, but since these are part of Health Guardian, they’ll be available wherever Health Guardian is supported. Though not every Health Guardian feature will be available everywhere.
For example, Breathing Emergency Detection is only available in the EU at the moment. Blood Pressure Trends and Insulin Resistance Trends will be free features for all users who live in supported regions with the supported watch models.
It isn’t mentioned when these features will specifically show up on supported devices, just that it’s happening this week and that it’s rolling out the past three Pixel Watch models. It’s also reported that these features will be rolling out to Fitbit Air owners as part of Google Health Premium subscription later in 2026.
