Apple’s iPhone Ultra Just Leaked With a Massive 5,800mAh Battery

Apple is preparing to launch its first foldable later this year, in the iPhone Ultra. And YouTuber FrontPageTech is out with a new leak, showing us the foldable as well as a few more details about the device. Yes, the same YouTuber who was sued by Apple.

In the video, Prosser shows the iPhone Ultra, which looks a lot like the other renders we’ve seen recently. With the iPhone Air-like camera bump on the back, though, there are two cameras here. It’s expected to use a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 48-megapixel ultrawide.

As for the front-facing camera, you’ve got your usual front-facing shooter on the outer display, but the inner display is said to be invisible. Prosser notes that Apple is testing a version with an under-display camera. But that might or might not be the final model. I wouldn’t expect a UDC from Apple, because most of those cameras are pretty terrible right now. But we’ll see later this year.

Perhaps the most impressive part here is that Apple is going to fit a massive 5,800mAh capacity battery in the iPhone Ultra. And it’s not using silicon-carbon; instead, it’ll use a high-density battery to make this happen. To put this into perspective, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a 4,400mAh capacity battery, with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 expected to finally be upgraded to 5,000mAh. And the Razr Fold that’s debuting later this Summer has a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery.

Apple’s A20 processor and C2 modem are powering the iPhone Ultra

Prosser also mentions that the iPhone Ultra will use the new A20 processor, which is also expected to power the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which are the only other two iPhones launching this Fall. It’s also using the C2 modem, Apple’s second-generation in-house modem, which will bring Satellite connectivity to the iPhone Ultra.

iPhone Ultra will also come with 12GB of RAM – the same amount of RAM as the Galaxy Z Fold 7. And it’ll be fairly thick, actually. Measuring in at 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.5mm thick when folded, it is thicker than a lot of foldables, but it makes it very competitive in the US

This means that only the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is thinner, as far as the US market goes. Of course, the OPPO Find N6, HONOR Magic V6, and a few other Chinese models are going to be much thinner, but those aren’t available in a lot of markets, unfortunately.

Finally, Prosser does say that despite rumors claiming that the iPhone Ultra might be delayed, internally, that doesn’t seem to be true. It’s expected to be announced in September, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
