When Apple dropped the MacBook Neo it shook up the laptop market in a big way and is one of the reasons why Microsoft is working to improve RAM management on Windows 11, and it’s one of the reasons why devices like the Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe exist, which has just leaked in a series of images to give a first look at the laptop’s design.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe is Lenovo’s colorful competitor to the Apple MacBook Neo, and is reportedly a budget laptop that is supposed to compete on the same level when it comes to price. The leak doesn’t mention price specifics, however. The IdeaPad Vibe will be a relatively slim laptop to make for easy everyday carry, though no specifics have been shared on exact dimensions or weight at this time.
Leaked images of the Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe confirm there will be 7 colors available
One of the main selling points of the Apple MacBook Neo is that it’s a lot more affordable than your standard MacBook, but another main selling point is its variety of color options. Apple sells the MacBook Neo in four different finishes, which include Brush, Silver, Citrus, and Indigo.
Lenovo has set out to top that by offering seven different finishes. It’s unclear if the names listed by the leak are the official names, but the finishes include Terracotta Orange-Brown, Mint Teal, Navy Blue, Silver, Bright Yellow, Blush Pink, and Sage Green.
The specs aren’t listed, but the images do show what kind of hardware features users can expect. For example, the laptops offer a privacy shutter for the camera in addition to several port options for connecting devices, including two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, an HDMI port, a headphone jack, and a memory card slot for expandable storage. Qualcomm and AMD will reportedly be the chipset options, although it isn’t mentioned which chip models will be used.
