It seems like Samsung just confirmed the date of its upcoming Unpacked event. A rumor that popped up a while back suggested that the event is happening on July 22, and that seems to be the case.
The Samsung Members app in Malaysia is now showing notices to some users. It’s offering vouchers of RM 700 ($170). That’s not the important thing here. What’s important is that the voucher can be redeemed when a user purchases the company’s “next foldable”, and most importantly, the date from which it’s valid is noted.
Samsung accidentally confirmed July 22 as the Unpacked event date
The date, coincidentally, is July 22. The voucher is valid from that date until October 4 on the Samsung Online store, and from August 11 to October 4 when shopping in-store.
So, if you add the fact that the “next foldable” is mentioned, along with the July 22 date, things get pretty clear. Not to mention that the information comes from an official source.
Another voucher is mentioned for RM 200 ($50). That one can be redeemed towards the purchase of the “next wearable.” The dates are the same as for the “next foldable.”
When you consider everything said here, things become quite simple. July 22 seems to be the launch date for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, plus the two rumored watches from the company.
The Android Headlines Take
That July 22 date was rumored a while back, as mentioned. Along with it, London was mentioned as the venue, which is not mentioned this time around. This does seem to be an indirect confirmation from Samsung, though.

Just remember, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will allegedly be the company’s new wide foldable. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will be a direct successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
