Xiaomi has just confirmed the launch date for the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max handset. This device has leaked several times, while Xiaomi also confirmed its design recently. Now the company has confirmed its launch date.
The Xiaomi 17 Max launch date has been confirmed
The Xiaomi 17 Max will become official on May 21. Do note that the confirmation comes from China, and this is for a China launch of the device. We’re not sure if this phone will be making its way to global markets, but it’s not as likely.
It will join four of its siblings, the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, all of which have been announced thus far. The Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro are also coming before the end of this month.
The Xiaomi 17 Max will essentially look like a supersized version of the Xiaomi 17. You’ll get a flat display with a centered display camera hole up top, and thin, uniform bezels. On the back, a square camera island will be located, with three cameras.
It will use Qualcomm’s best chip and an 8,000mAh battery
This smartphone is said to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset, just like its siblings. It will include a large 6.9-inch AMOLED display on the front.
What else? Well, a large 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is also expected, along with a compelling camera setup on the back, backed by Leica. Those cameras will be led by a 200-megapixel main snapper. A 50-megapixel periscope telephoto and 50-megapixel ultrawide cameras are also tipped.
The phone will also support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. An IR blaster will also be a part of the package. The Xiaomi 17 Max will arrive in three colors: Pixel Black, Sky Blue, and White.
