Vivo is planning to debut its X500 series of flagship smartphones later this month. The company will introduce as many as three new handsets in the series, including the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. Ahead of the launch, the company recently shared some key details of the Pro variants of the series. Now, Vivo has revealed the key camera features of the base Vivo X500 model.
Vivo’s X500 will flaunt a 50MP 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-828 primary camera sensor
According to the company, the Vivo X500 will feature a 50MP Sony LYT-828 primary camera sensor that measures 1/1.28 inches. The previous X300 Pro model also has the same sensor. This primary lens also utilizes ZEISS gimbal stabilization with a professional CIPA 5.5 rating.
Moving to the telephoto shooter, the phone will flaunt a 64MP Sony YT-610 sensor for zoomed shots. It’ll be the same sensor as the pricier X500 Pro variant. This camera also carries the CIPA 5.5 stabilization rating to keep long-distance photos sharp.
The device will also support 4K slow-motion recording at 120 fps. Furthermore, Vivo has confirmed support for a 200mm teleconverter onboard the vanilla X500 model.

As for the other features, the rumor mill suggests that the Vivo X500 will feature either a 6.37-inch compact display or a slightly bigger 6.59-inch screen with a massive 1.5K resolution. In comparison, the Vivo X300 has a compact 6.31-inch display. Under the hood, the phone could pack a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series processor, which is based on a 3nm fabrication process.
For selfies and video calling, the Vivo X500 could offer a 50MP ultrawide lens, which could capture sweeping landscape shots. Furthermore, the leaks suggest the phone could flaunt a large 7,500mAh battery, which will support 90W wired and 40W wireless fast charging capabilities.
