Today, the spotlight falls on the global debut of the massive Vivo X300 Ultra. However, a smaller—but equally interesting—camera-focused sibling stepped into the spotlight. The Vivo X300 FE originally had a very quiet and limited introduction back in March, but Vivo is now giving it a proper “global” launch alongside its larger counterpart. Plus, the device even supports its own telephoto extender accessory to further enhance its photography capabilities.
Vivo X300 FE brings pro-grade optics in a compact frame
The Vivo X300 FE’s Telephoto Extender Gen 2 promises to be a gamechanger for a phone of this range and size. This external accessory provides a 200 mm equivalent focal length, but even without it, the internal hardware is formidable. The rear setup features a 50 MP main camera with an f/1.57 aperture and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom. For wider perspectives, Vivo included an 8 MP ultra-wide lens.
According to Vivo, the camera experience is heavily enhanced by ZEISS processing and the AI True Clarity Engine. These tools help maintain natural color science and sharp detail even when utilizing the periscope’s extended reach. Up front, selfie lovers will find a 50 MP selfie camera with autofocus.

High-End specs for the Vivo X300 FE
Despite its slim 7.99 mm profile, the X300 FE is a technical powerhouse. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform and 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM. Users can pick between 256GB and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, which is enough space for 8K video at 30 frames per second or 4K video at 120 frames per second. There’s also a vapor chamber liquid cooling system for maintaining performance during intensive tasks.
Vivo managed to fit a massive 6,500mAh “BlueVolt” battery into the 6.31-inch chassis. This cell supports rapid 90W wired FlashCharge and, notably, 40W wireless charging, a feature often missing in this category. In fact, its predecessor, the Vivo X200 FE (Review), completely lacked this feature. The 1.5K AMOLED display completes the package, offering an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
Long-term software promise and durability
The Vivo X300 FE runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. The company is promising five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security patches for the Vivo X300 FE. The phone also boasts both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. This results in even more potential scenarios for taking photos or videos.
Lastly, the price and availability of the device will depend on each market.
