Samsung might soon face serious competition in the international book-style foldable space. After launching exclusively in China earlier this summer, the Vivo X Fold 6 is finally gearing up for its “global” debut.
As reported by Anvin on X (via GSMArena), a global prototype with model number V2559 recently surfaced on Geekbench 7. The benchmark listing confirms that the international version retains the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super processor and suggests it will ship running Android 17 out of the box.
Matching prices while offering double the storage
Pricing details for the European market are also starting to emerge. According to tech leaker Roland Quandt, the Vivo X Fold 6 in a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration is expected to launch at €2,199.
That price point places it in direct competition with Samsung’s top-tier foldables in Germany and other European regions. However, Vivo’s base offering includes double the storage compared to equivalent configurations from major rivals at that price level.
Heavyweight specs aimed at power users
Beyond memory and software, the hardware sheet targets heavy users looking for maximum endurance and performance. The inner 8.02-inch foldable display and 6.51-inch cover display both feature LTPO AMOLED panels with smooth 120Hz refresh rates.
The camera setup relies on a 200MP main sensor paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera. Perhaps the biggest standout spec is the 7,000mAh battery, which charges at 80W wired and 40W wirelessly. That is significantly larger than standard foldable power cells, addressing a long-standing complaint among heavy daily users.
Release window expectations
While Vivo has not confirmed an official global launch event yet, certification approvals in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia indicate final testing is underway.
With Vivo currently focused on its domestic X-series releases for September, industry observers expect the international rollout of the X Fold 6 to follow shortly after in October.
