The PS5 DualSense controller now has a PC dongle, only Sony didn’t make it so it’s not an official piece of equipment. That being said, Sony also doesn’t make an official dongle and for whatever reason, doesn’t seem to want to. The company made a dongle for the DualShock 4 several years ago, and it also released a PlayStation Link dongle that lets you connect PlayStation Link devices to your PC. None of these are for the DualSense, though.
Sure, you can connect your DualSense controller to your PC using Bluetooth. Doing this removes the advanced features of the controller, however. Advanced haptics and the adaptive triggers only work wirelessly on PS5. On PC, if you want these features, you need to plug the controller in with a cable. This dongle fixes all that.

This PC dongle for the PS5 controller costs less than $20 to set up
Aside from Sony not releasing a dongle for the PS5 DualSense controller, if it did release one it would probably cost more than this setup. The project, created by a user on GitHub named Awalol, was tested and showed off by a user on Reddit. The whole thing reportedly costs about $20 or less, and it uses a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W microcontroller to do it.
With that tiny microcontroller plugged into your PC via a cable, it then connects to your DualSense controller wirelessly via Bluetooth. However, it tells the PC that your controller is connected with a cable. This enables the adaptive triggers and advanced haptics to work. It’s also noted that this handshake between the DualSense and the PC has to happen once. From then on, you just power the controller on.
The whole process doesn’t seem too hard, and you could pull it off yourself for a pretty inexpensive amount. That is if you care about having those extra features.
