We’ve talked about Ulefone’s RugOne Xever 8 smartphone thus far, several times. It’s a very interesting device, and one of its main selling points is the built-in outdoor speaker.
The RugOne Xever 8 has a wild speaker, 4x times more powerful than regular ones
That speaker is called the SonicX speaker, and it comes with a super-large driver architecture. It utilizes a dual-driver setup, which comprises a 13 x 26mm driver paired with a 14 x 20mm driver. The system optimizes frequency response coverage, allowing the unit to handle lower-frequency displacement while the secondary unit maintains transient response accuracy in the mid-to-high frequencies.
That speaker has a 4.0cc total sound cavity. That is a huge difference to around 1.0cc sound cavity on regular smartphones. This enables the speaker to offer a massive physical volume that lowers the resonant frequency of the speaker module. That should enable a deep, resonant bass reproduction without artificial (digital) boosting.
It has a 117dB peak acoustic output
This speaker has a 117dB peak acoustic output. This essentially means you can use it even in construction zones, crowded campsites, and so on, without worrying about volume.
The speaker is powered by the SonicX AI algorithm. It is an AI-driven digital signal processor (DSP) that analyzes and optimizes audio streams at the sample level in real-time.
The phone also offers AI Vocal Enhancement. This algorithm prevents vocals from being masked by heavy low-end instrumentation. Dynamic Bass Reconstruction is also on board, as the algorithm maps low-end frequencies to maximize diaphragm excursion safely. That should deliver punchy and resonant bass.
360-degree spatial expansion is also on board
The speaker also offers a 360-degree spatial expansion. The algorithm psychoacoustically expands the soundstage, thus projecting a wider, immersive 360-degree sweet spot that simulates a multi-directional speaker setup.
Now, if you’re ever in an emergency situation, the SOS Thunder Alert will come in handy too. It deploys an emergency distress signal engineered to be 2.6 louder than standard emergency tones.
The device is now available to purchase worldwide
The RugOne Xever8 is now available for purchase worldwide. You can get it from the RugOne official store, or from AliExpress, Amazon, or MercadoLibre. The phone comes in 128GB and 256GB storage options with 8GB of RAM, and those two models cost $379.99 and $409.99, respectively. That’s a promotional price; it will go up soon.
The company is also offering you a chance to win a free RugOne Xever 8, thanks to its #NeverMissAGoal campaign.
