Every month Sony adds more games to the PlayStation Plus Catalog and the month of May for 2026 is getting some excellent new titles, including Star Wars Outlaws. Not every month brings in the best games, though that’s probably a little subjective, so it’s good to see when there are some bigger hits being dropped into the service.
In total subscribers can expect eight new games being added to the PlayStation Plus Catalog for May. It’s worth noting that these are a good mix of newer and some older, more classic titles. So there’s a little something for everyone out there. The PlayStation Plus Catalog is part of the PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra plans. So, you’ll need to bump up to either of those from the Essential plan if you want access.
Red Redemption II joins the PlayStation Plus Catalog for May alongside 7 more games
While you already know about Star Wars Outlaws, the other big game being added this month is Red Dead Redemption II, which is perfect if you’re a fan of Rockstar Games and you’re waiting on the release of GTA 6. That game isn’t launching until November 19, so you have plenty of time to beat Red Dead Redemption II before then.
In addition to those two games, the catalog is also adding Bramble: The Mountain King, The Thaumaturge, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged, Enotria: The Last Song Standard Edition, and Time Crisis. All of these games will go live in the catalog on May 19. That means you have a few more days to wait before you can dive into them, but there are plenty of other games in the catalog already, so it’s not like you don’t have other options. Once next week hits, either Star Wars Outlaws or Red Dead Redemption II are strong recommendations if you’re not only looking for a good game to play, but one that you will be able to spend a ton of time on, as both can be pretty long.
