The BlackBerry-Inspired Clicks Communicator Just Got Its First Official Case

Clicks Communicator managed to attract a lot of attention at CES 2026. It’s a BlackBerry-inspired phone made by enthusiasts. It’s not yet available to purchase, but it will be towards the end of the year.

The Communicator Ring is the first official case for the Clicks Communicator

With that being said, people who pre-ordered the phone have been asking for a case for quite some time now. Well, Clicks has now delivered and shown off a case for the device.

It’s called the Communicator Ring, and it’s essentially a bumper case. Yes, a bumper case in its proper form, which means that the back side is exposed. The case does offer protection for the frame, and there’s a lip on the front and the back all around.

Clicks did not hide the fact that this phone was made to be used without a case. It has a tapered back, a raised “chin”, and other parts of the design that were made to be used as they are. On top of that, the backplate is removable, so you can always change it if it gets scuffed up or something.

It seems like reservation holders were asking for a case, based on what Clicks said, which is why the Communicator Ring came into existence. It’s not surprising, though; people are used to putting cases on their phones, and based on research, three-quarters of them do that.

It is made out of hard polycarbonate and flexible TPU

The Communicator Ring is made out of hard polycarbonate and flexible TPU. The Prompt Key frame is frosted, so the Signal Light will still glow through it. Metal key caps are included, and a chamfered cutout cover. There are also lanyard points on the bottom corners.

What we do not know at this point is the price. Clicks decided not to share one, so we’ll have to wait to see what will happen on that front.
