It’s possible to play games from Xbox 360 on your phone in more than one way, and one of those ways is through the unofficial port of Skate 3 to Android, which is being called Skate 3 Mobile by the developer who got this port up and running. Of course, another method for playing Xbox 360 games on Android is through Microsoft’s official means, which is by way of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate because it includes the cloud gaming options.
This is quite different though, as games won’t be installed on your device locally, and that internet requirement to play won’t be a viable option all the time, as you will eventually hit pockets of questionable coverage. The case in point, something like Skate 3 Mobile, even if it isn’t official, is a way you can play some Xbox 360 fan favorites without worrying whether or not your internet is going to cut out.
The Skate 3 Mobile port is janky, but very playable
Game ports have a tendency to pose significant challenges when it comes to performance or even being able to run properly without crashing. Android Authority even reports that Skate 3 Mobile had crashed on their devices a few different times. The reasons for crashing or poor performance can vary. For example, higher-end devices with better specs can have an easier time.
While there are reports that Skate 3 Mobile can have a little jank during gameplay, it’s also still said to be in a very playable state, and can even run on a device like the ANBERNIC RG406V which is a pretty low-powered device.
The game is available to install as an APK on Android devices through the developer’s GitHub post on it. There’s an entire Read Me section with necessary information on installing the game for those who want to give it a go.
