When Sony released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day back in March, many were keen to point out that Peter Parker had upgraded from a Sony Xperia to a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Honestly, it was a bit of a surprise, as Sony has always used its own phones in its own movies, but for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, they opted to let Samsung spend the big bucks to be featured.
Now, Samsung has told us that you’ll also see Ned using the Galaxy Z Fold and the Galaxy Watch in the movie, as the tech-savvy “guy in the chair”. Samsung says that this collaboration goes beyond the theater and brings the spirit of ingenuity and connection from the movie to life through the all-new Spidey Tracker. This is a one-of-a-kind fan-driven experience unfolding online and in real-world spaces throughout the Summer to promote the movie.
Ned will invite fans to join in on the interactive campaign as Spidey is spotted at live events and venues, creator videos, and different locations around the world. The Spidey Tracker is being teased today, with the official website going live tomorrow at 3 PM ET for consumers. You can check out the Spidey Tracker website here. The release of the Spidey Tracker website is tied to the launch of the second trailer, which Sony will be releasing tomorrow.

The movie comes out on July 31
Unlike past Spider-Man movies, this one is coming out this Summer and not around Christmas. The movie will be in theaters on July 31, 2026. And Amazon Prime members will be able to get early access to exclusive screenings in select theaters starting on July 29, 2026.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, and follows an adult Peter Parker operating as a full-time Spider-Man in a New York that no longer knows his name, as he faces a strange physical evolution and a powerful new threat.
