The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are now getting the July 2026 Android security patch. These two devices are joining the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S25 series smartphones, which received this update about a day ago.

As with the other devices we’ve mentioned, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are now getting the update in Korea. While the rollout started there, it will spread to various other markets soon. It usually happens in a matter of days.
The update weighs 573MB for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, while it weighs 443MB for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. That can vary from one market to the next, though, so don’t be surprised if the download packages differ.
This update comes with 57 fixes in tow. 41 of those fixes come from Google, while Samsung provided 16 of them. There are 5 critical fixes, and 42 of them are marked as high-severity. 7 fixes are marked as moderate-severity vulnerabilities.
You can manually check whether the update is available by navigating to Settings -> Software update -> Check for updates. Do note that the update is rolling out in stages, and even when it arrives to your region, it may take a while for it to roll out. Your phone will let you know once the update is available, so you don’t need to check anything manually.
This update does not bring any new features to the table
It seems like this update did not bring any new features to the table, based on what we’ve seen thus far. This update is all about security patches, as expected. There’s a possibility something will come up, though.
It’s also worth noting that the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 are right around the corner. All three of those will arrive on July 22, along with the company’s new smartwatches.
