Samsung’s wide foldable is coming, and its dummy unit has appeared online. It has been shared by Ice Universe, one of the best-known tipsters around. He does note that this is a “low-quality dummy model.”
Samsung’s wide foldable appeared in a dummy unit form, here’s a video
You can see the unit in the short video below, as the tipster says this should only by used as a “rough reference.” He also noted that Samsung’s internal testers are actually “very fond of this device.”
The low-quality dummy model of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide has already appeared online.
Its build quality is far from the real device, so it should only be used as a rough reference. From what I know, Samsung’s internal testers are actually very fond of this device.

This smartphone is referred to as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and Galaxy Z Fold 8 up to this point. One rumor suggested that it will be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s successor will use the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra name.
That doesn’t sound right, though you never know with Samsung. So, for the time being, we’ll still refer to the phone as the wide foldable from Samsung, or something of the sort, to avoid any confusion.
July 22 could be the launch date, but nothing has been confirmed just yet
This smartphone is expected to see the light of day in July. July 22 is actually tipped as the date for Samsung’s second Unpacked event of the year, though nothing has been officially confirmed just yet.
We were the first to show you the design of this phone, thanks to CAD-based renders. It will be shorter and wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while it will also have two rear cameras, not three.
This smartphone is coming to compete directly with the likes of the iPhone Ultra, Apple’s very first foldable smartphone. That device will also have a wide profile. Other smartphone OEMs are allegedly working on similar devices, including OPPO, HONOR, Xiaomi, and more.
This will be a powerful smartphone, as it’s tipped to use the same flagship chip from Qualcomm as the Galaxy Z Fold 8. More info is expected to pop up soon.
