The sound technology for the Samsung Galaxy Buds Able will reportedly not be based on bone conduction, and will instead use something completely different. Much has already been leaked for the Galaxy Buds Able, also previously referred to as the Galaxy Buds On, but nothing has technically been confirmed, so things are still subject to change until the upcoming true wireless earbuds from Samsung officially launch.
With regards to the sound technology, the Galaxy Buds Able will reportedly use what is called open-ear air conduction. That means they’ll be open-ear earbuds that use air conduction tech to direct the sound into your ears through edges of the ear canal. This will also leave the ear canal open, allowing for outside noises to flow into it and helping people be more spatially aware of their surroundings.
Samsung will use open-ear sound technology for the Galaxy Buds Able along with a clip-on design
While the sound technology that Samsung is going to be using for these new earbuds is new information, the clip-on style for the design is not new. The clip-on style design is a detail that surfaced more than a few months ago.
However, new images of the clip-on design have leaked. As reported by SamMobile, new images of the design have popped up in a Samsung app, showing the clip-on design as a single earbud and as a pair of earbuds, Images of the case design are included alongside those, with a variation of colors as well. These colors appear to indicate a connected and non-connected status of the earbuds. The green light being the indication that they’re connected to something.
These new images look just like the clip-on design that was found months ago, too. In addition, the image of the case also shows a green light which is likely a charging indicator for the earbuds when they’re being charged inside of the case.
