Samsung continues testing One UI 9, with new beta updates now reaching several Galaxy devices. The Galaxy Watch 8 series and Watch 7 are getting their third and second beta updates, respectively. It’s worth noting that these updates will be available only to those who are already part of the One UI 9 beta program.
Several Galaxy devices are receiving new One UI 9 beta updates
In addition to the smartwatches, Samsung is pushing the second One UI 9 beta update to the Galaxy A55. To recap, the beta program for the phone opened earlier this month. The new update is currently rolling out in South Korea and has a download size of 403.66MB. It carries the firmware version A556SKSUBEXI4. It is likely to expand to other regions shortly.
This reportedly brings only one change. The second beta version of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy A55 reportedly improves camera stability. You can check for it from Settings > Software update > Check for updates. If you’re running the stable Android 16-based One UI 8.5, this beta update won’t be available to you.
Available only to those who are part of the beta program
The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic are getting the third, while the Watch 7 is getting the second One UI 9 Watch (Wear OS 7) beta update with a September 2026 security patch. They are reportedly rolling out in South Korea first. The update for the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic’s non-cellular variant has a download size of 243.76MB and carries firmware version L500XXU2ZZI4. Meanwhile, the update for the Galaxy Watch 7 weighs around 229MB in size.
The latest One UI 9 Watch beta updates fixed an issue with the watch face’s AOD (always-on display) and AOD time data error. Additionally, bugs in the Nowva, Compass, and Weather apps have reportedly been fixed. It also brings stability improvements. You can check for the update from the Galaxy Wearable app by going to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install.
As for the stable rollout, Samsung officially kicked off the stable One UI 9 rollout last week. As usual, the rollout began with the latest flagships. It may take some time before it expands to all eligible devices.
