Samsung is keeping its software testing schedule moving fast. Just one week after opening the Android 17-based One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, the company launched the beta 2 update. The firmware, carrying a build version ending in ZZI4, weighs roughly 650MB and brings a mix of core stability fixes alongside fresh AI tools.
The rollout began in South Korea, India, the UK, and Europe. The availability is also expanding to the US (via Tarun Vats on X).
Bug fixes and system stability improvements
Beyond new features, Beta 2 focuses on squashing bugs encountered in the initial release. According to the official changelog, the patch fixes translation errors in Bixby Vision, resolves temporary crashing issues within the Contacts app, and fixes unstable Wi-Fi disconnections. At the same time, Samsung expanded its smartwatch testing. The firm is bringing the Wear OS 7-based One UI 9 Watch beta to the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic across South Korea.
Flagship AI features trickle down to the S25 lineup
The main highlight of Beta 2 is bringing four Galaxy AI tools to the S25 series. All of these originally debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, and Galaxy S26 lineup. Among the additions, Call Brief automatically displays contextual information and related events on the call screen during active phone calls. This helps users recall key details mid-conversation.
Custom Cards in Now Brief allows users to build personalized daily briefings by pulling data points from Samsung Health, Weather, and YouTube at specific times of day.
To help with daily multitasking, Now Nudge analyzes what is happening on screen in real time to suggest relevant actions and next steps without requiring manual app switches. Plus, My FanCam automatically tracks a selected person in any recorded video and reframes the shot to keep them centered.
Samsung pushing these features suggests that a stable One UI 9 public rollout may arrive ahead of schedule. S25 users enrolled in the beta program can check for the update under Settings > Software update.
