Samsung is pushing One UI 8.5 stable out at scale, covering a broad lineup of flagships, foldables, and tablets. What’s interesting is that even some mid-range A-series phones are also getting the update alongside the more expensive models. That’s welcome news for many who have been waiting for the update to arrive. The Galaxy Tab A11 Plus is now next in line to receive the stable One UI 8.5 update.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus is now receiving the stable One UI 8.5 update
As is the case every time, the stable One UI 8.5 update is now rolling out to the tablet in the company’s home country, South Korea. But going by Samsung’s usual rollout history, it should expand to other regions where the tablet is available over the next few days. Both non-cellular and 5G variants are being treated with the new One UI 8.5 taste.
Since it’s a major update, it is a good idea to ensure your tablet’s battery is at least 30% charged. Also, connect to a stable Wi-Fi network. You can check for the update by heading to Settings, scrolling down to Software update, and then tapping Download and install. It’ll take a few seconds to check if the update is available for your unit.
The One UI 8.5 update for the non-cellular variant of the Galaxy Tab A11 Plus carries the firmware version X230XXU4BZE8, and that for the cellular variant carries firmware version X236NKOU4BZE8. That said, this firmware version and update size will vary depending on the region.
The update will expand to other regions shortly
One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 QPR2 and brings a bunch of new enhancements, utility features, and customization options. It lets you play around with the Quick Panel by adding/removing/resizing widgets. Samsung One UI core apps are seeing some visual changes to make them look more appealing. There’s Storage Share that lets you quickly access files from other Galaxy devices, including tablets, phones, and PCs. The update brings new lock screen options, including three clock styles.
