According to a new report, Samsung’s Galaxy devices could get another price hike. Samsung bumped prices for a number of its devices in the US this year, following increasing memory prices, but that may not be over.
Samsung is allegedly planning to hike prices in Europe, for its Galaxy devices
According to a report by Techmaniacs, Samsung will introduce a price hike for many of its smartphones starting in the first week of June. This time around, the price hike will affect the European market and hit up to €200 ($233).
We’re not sure if only the European market will be affected or not, but we’ll see. The report claims that all Galaxy S series devices that are currently being sold, and also the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be affected. The same goes for the company’s Galaxy FE models.
The devices are said to get at least a €100 ($116) price bump in Europe. Higher storage versions will see even higher price increases, it is being said. These changes are likely coming to more markets.
Other companies are said to follow
We’ll see this pattern a lot more going forward, it seems, with other companies. Nobody seems to be safe from the constantly rising memory and storage prices.
Users in Europe definitely won’t be happy with the news, especially considering that some of the mentioned models are already more expensive than their predecessors. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are great examples.
Analysts have been warning that something like this will happen, and they have bleak analysis for the second half of the year. If you’ve been planning to get a phone, it may not be a bad idea to get it soon. More price increases will follow across the industry.
Google’s Pixel 11 smartphones are expected to be more expensive, and the same goes for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, amongst others.
