Samsung has just announced a new budget smartphone, the Galaxy F70. The vast majority of you will not be able to get your hands on it, though. Why? Well, it has been announced in India, and it’ll likely stay there.
Samsung has a new budget phone you won’t be able to buy, the Galaxy F70
This is a true budget phone from the company, as it’s priced at only INR19,999, which translates to $211. The phone, as you can see in the provided images, actually looks like a budget smartphone.

How can we tell? Well, the first giveaway these days is the thicker bottom bezel. It’s a lot thicker than the rest of them. The left, right, and top bezels are actually quite thin. This phone also has a display notch at the top, which is not something we’re seeing in higher-end devices.
A flat display is used here, along with flat sides and a flat backplate. You’ll notice that the phone’s camera island is vertical, and it sits in the top-left corner of the phone’s back side.
It uses one of Samsung’s older processors
This smartphone is fueled by the Exynos 1330 processor, which is a 5nm chip. That chip is backed by 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and the device includes 128GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 2TB).
A 6.7-inch fullHD+ panel is included here, and it’s a 90Hz AMOLED panel with Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
A 5,000mAh battery is included on the inside as well, and the phone supports 25W wired charging. Bluetooth 5.3 is also supported here, while Android 15 comes pre-installed, with One UI 7.0.
Yes, that’s quite an old version of Android by today’s standards, as Android 17 ships on Samsung’s phones these days. It’s an odd choice by Samsung, that’s for sure. Android 16 was expected at the very least.
There are three cameras included on the back
A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture) is included on the back, along with a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front, a 13-megapixel selfie snapper is included.
The Galaxy F70 has a side-facing fingerprint scanner, while it measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.5mm and weighs 192 grams. The device is also IP54 certified for water and dust resistance.
