If you have been holding out for Samsung‘s next Fan Edition smartphone, the wait might almost be over. The upcoming Galaxy S26 FE is expected to debut in late August or early September, and fresh details are already painting a clear picture of what to expect. In recent days we have seen several reports related to the next-gen device. Now, a fresh leak brings to light the specs of the entire camera configuration of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE.
Familiar sensors across the triple-camera setup
The latest information comes from the Android Authority team. If you were hoping for brand-new sensor hardware, there is bad news. Samsung appears to be sticking with what it knows.
According to the leaked details, the Galaxy S26 FE (internal codename “r14) borrows heavily from its predecessor’s photo playbook. The primary shooter relies on the trusted 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN3 sensor, featuring OIS and dual-pixel autofocus.
Zoom duties remain in the hands of the 8MP OmniVision telephoto sensor, offering 3x optical zoom alongside optical stabilization. On the front, a 12MP selfie camera takes care of video calls and self-portraits. Lastly, a 12MP ultrawide lens rounds out the rear module.
The sensor mix combines components from Samsung, OmniVision, Sony (IMX825), and GalaxyCore (GC12A2). While hardware upgrades seem nonexistent on paper, any current image improvements will likely come down to a more powerful ISP and updated software algorithms rather than new glass.
Hardware specs and expected European pricing
Beyond the cameras, the rest of the spec sheet aligns with recent leaks surrounding Samsung’s upcoming value flagship. The device is expected to run on an Exynos 2500 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. A 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support will keep the lights on. Video recording capabilities should cover 4K at 60fps across all lenses, with the main rear camera topping out at 8K at 30fps.
Price leaks suggest European buyers might see a slight increase compared to last year’s model. Reports indicate the base 128GB variant could launch around €799—a €50 jump over the S25 FE—with higher storage tiers seeing steeper price adjustments. There are still no similar pricing details for the US market.
