Samsung is keeping up its rapid software testing pace. Just one week after launching the initial Android 17 beta for its foldable lineup and fan-edition flagships, the company kicked off the second One UI 9 beta wave. The One UI 9 Beta 2 update brings fresh Galaxy AI tools and essential system fixes to the Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
As reported by Tarun Vats (via SamMobile), the update is already rolling out in South Korea. The firmware build S731NKSU9ZZI4 is landing on the S25 FE at around 411MB. A wider rollout to other regions should follow shortly.
Four new Galaxy AI tools land on more devices
The main attraction of this second beta build is a suite of AI-powered features that originally debuted on Samsung’s latest flagship foldables and the Galaxy S26 series.
Call Brief provides live context directly on the call screen. It displays relevant past interactions or calendar events so users never lose track of a conversation. Custom Cards in Now Brief lets users build personalized daily summaries, pulling data points from Samsung Health, Weather, and YouTube at scheduled times.
For quick multitasking, Now Nudge analyzes whatever is active on your display in real time to suggest relevant actions without forcing you to switch apps. Finally, My FanCam brings intelligent subject tracking to existing videos stored in your gallery, automatically cropping and reframing the shot to keep a specific person centered.
Squashing bugs and boosting stability
Alongside the flashy AI tools, Beta 2 focuses heavily on resolving frustration-inducing bugs reported during the initial beta week.
All three devices receive core fixes for Bixby Vision translation glitches, temporary Contacts app crashes, and annoying Wi-Fi connection dropouts. The foldables also pick up tailored hardware fixes. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 patch resolves an issue where the main inner display failed to wake up when unfolding the device and fixes a bug preventing game controllers from connecting. It also corrects a camera glitch where 15x zoom failed in maximum video mode.
Galaxy owners currently enrolled in the One UI 9 beta program can check for the download under Settings > Software update.
