Not Just Trucks
The past couple of new models from Rezvani have seen a slew of armored trucks and SUVs. Models such as the Tank and Fortress wouldn’t look out of place in a combat zone, and it just needs a couple more layers of armoring before they could actually see action.
But let’s not forget that the California-based automaker occasionally makes low-slung sports and supercars. In fact, its first car is nothing like the ‘Tactical Utility Vehicles’ the company builds most of the time. That model was the Beast based on the Ariel Atom.

A New Supercar
After successive launches of military-inspired vehicles, Rezvani is taking a break from those in the meantime. It doesn’t mean the company will sit idle for a while. Instead, it’s going back to its roots.
By that, we mean there’s a new version of the Beast. Dubbed the Beast X, it’s possibly Rezvani’s most extreme model yet. It’ll also be incredibly rare, as only 5 examples of the car will be built.

The Specs
Powering the Beast X is a 6.2-liter twin-turbo V8. Rezvani says it’s a bespoke engine, and it punches out 1,560 hp and 1,280 lb-ft of torque. That engine is then mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, along with an all-wheel drive system with selectable drive modes. The company boldly claims that it can do the 0 to 60 mph sprint in a mere 1.9 seconds.
Now, Rezvani previously made a Beast X, but the latest version is leaps ahead of its predecessor. The old one had a 2.4-liter engine with ‘only’ 700 hp, but its lightweight body meant it could hit 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. With more than double the power and cylinder count, that sub-2-second acceleration time is actually looking possible.

Other Highlights
There’s no official curb weight mentioned, but the all-wheel drive system could make it a wee bit heavier than the original Beast X. That said, the new car has a body made from carbon fiber, so it’s safe to say it won’t weigh as much as Rezvani’s other offerings.
Its swoopy design should help give it pretty good aerodynamics. At the same time, the car comes with adaptive double wishbone suspension. Interestingly, the Rezvani website says the all-wheel drive system has a terrain management system that includes sand, mud, rock crawling, Baja driving, and snow modes.
There’s no price tag attached to it for now, but there is a reservation fee of $1,500 for anyone interested – refundable, by the way.
