Released in 1964, the rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive Renault 8 Gordini became a true legend of the European rally scene in the ‘60s. Tuner Amédée Gordini would take regular 8s and crank them all the way up to eleven, resulting in more than twice as much power from that teeny 1.1-liter engine. By 1967, Gordini-tuned 8s had a five-speed gearbox, 110 ponies on tap, and a top speed of 109 mph.
