Razer this week has launched the Hammerhead V3 Chroma to cater to the gamers who prefer wired audio. The hammerhead line is one of Razer’s longest running products, with the original Hammerhead earbuds having launched back in 2013. It has since grown to include several pairs of wireless earbuds, but Razer still keeps a wired pair in the lineup and updates it every so often.
The new Hammerhead V3 Chroma, as the name suggests, includes Chroma RGB lighting on each earbud, and like the wireless pairs that have Chroma RGB, the lights on these earbuds can be adjusted and controlled through the companion app, though the lighting effects won’t be as robust as those on Razer’s PC product like keyboards and gaming mice. The Hammerhead V3 Chroma use a USB-C connection for the audio which makes them compatible with just about anything that can accept wired connections. They’ll work with the Nintendo Switch 2, PC, handhelds, and mobile devices like phones and tablets.

The Razer Hammerhead V2 Chroma sell for a modest $79.99
Razer products are generally on the more expensive end compared to the competition, at least in most cases. These earbuds, however, are not really that expensive, with Razer asking a pretty reasonable $79.99.
For that price, you end up with features like Feed-Forward Active Noise Cancellation, so you can stay in the game and ignore the world around you. This is a crucial feature if you often play games in more noisy settings, like coffee shops or anywhere outside in a busy area. Even at home if you live with other people and just want some peace and quiet.
Razer also designed these to have a 90-degree angle USB-C connector so the cable doesn’t stick out of the port on your device like a sore thumb. You can buy these new earbuds directly from Razer, but they’re also available on Amazon.
