NBCUniversal‘s streaming platform Peacock sees another price increase across its plans. In case you’re not counting, this is the fourth fee increase in four years. With this, the cheapest ad-supported Select tier will cost subscribers $8.99 per month. The new prices will be effective starting August 18th, i.e., today.
Peacock’s latest price increase pushes Premium Plus to $19.99
The cheapest ad-supported Select tier will reportedly cost $7.99 to $8.99 per month. The Premium plan with ads is increasing from $10.99 to $12.99 per month. Meanwhile, the ad-free Premium Plus plan is seeing the biggest price jump of all. It’s going from $16.99 to $19.99 per month. The price change goes into effect for new or returning subscribers. Existing subscribers will see the price on their next billing date on or after September 17th.
Current annual subscribers and users with active promotional offers will keep their existing prices until their plans or offers expire. After that, their subscriptions will renew at the new price. Peacock has raised its prices several times in recent years. It most recently raised prices in July 2025, when the plans saw a $3 increase. Regardless of what plan you’re on, this hike will most definitely sting subscribers.

Affects new and returning subscribers
On its support page, Peacock says that these price changes will allow it to continue to “create the best experience for its viewers.” It’ll also help it to remain competitive in the marketplace and “deliver unique content across all genres.” Peacock is notifying existing users of the price change via the email address associated with the account.
For what it’s worth, every other streaming service has hiked prices in recent years. That includes Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV, Paramount+, and YouTube Premium. NBCUniversal recently reported that the streamer turned its first-ever quarterly profit for Q2 2026. Its paid subscribers grew to 48 million.
