OnePlus used to be epitome of affordability, but over the years, its prices increased to nearly on par with flagships of other brands. But if you want an affordable OnePlus phone, its Nord series is where it’s at. Now, a listing on the company’s website has revealed the details of the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite.
OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite details revealed
This isn’t the first time we heard about the details of the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite. Previously, the company teased the phone and provided a few tidbits. This included the battery size and chipset. Everything was still under wraps, at least until now.
For a quick recap, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset. This is an octa-core chipset built on the 4nm process, so it isn’t as “modern” compared to the Dimensity 9000 series. However, it is still a very capable chipset, especially for a phone at this price. The phone also comes packing a 7,000mAh battery, good for approximately 1,600 charging cycles.
As for the new details, the phone features a display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. However, it is unclear if it is LCD or AMOLED. It also comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is also a triple camera setup on the back, with the main camera sporting a 50MP sensor. Last but not least, it will run OxygenOS 16 out of the box.
In terms of price, it should be relatively cheap. It is expected to be priced in the sub-INR 25,000 (~$265) range, so it won’t be breaking any wallets.
Just one of several new phones
The OnePlus Nord CE6 and CE6 Lite are just some of the new phones the company is launching. In fact, later today OnePlus is expected to debut their first-ever gaming smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra. This phone is part of the company’s Ace series, but it seems to have been designed with gamers and gaming in mind.
This is due to the optional addon gaming controller accessory that will launch with the phone. It’s a mobile controller that attaches to the phone with a built-in cooling fan on the back.
Let’s not forget the main OnePlus lineup. There are rumors claiming the company could debut the OnePlus 16 later this year. The phone will launch with the use of Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.
